DaNoodles are loving, beautiful, healthy and make wonderful
At Oodles of Kisses there are no surprises in my breeding
program because I've been a breeder since 1996 and know there
are only two things I'm concerned with striving for, producing
quality puppies and having satisfied customers. When you
succeed with the first, the second will follow.
Oodles of Kisses aka Kiss My Cocoa, is where trust has been earned for a love that reaches further than any one's words. I am proud
to say OoK keeps love strong by producing GREAT DaNoodles.
I want my Great DaNoodles to be bred with HONOR, DEDICATION AND TRUTH in the
pedigrees. After all, the difference between a "mutt" and a
"designer/hybrid" is: Mutt: NO idea
who sire and/or dam are and/or no idea of pedigree.
Designer/Hybrid: Parents are registered dogs in
which a 5 generation (or more) pedigree is known. I want the quality of my DaNoodles to
always be the way I meant for them to be and the way my pure bred
Danes are: EXCEPTIONAL! And to ensure the best health
for my dogs they are on NuVet Plus!
My Great DaNoodles can be registered with AKC in
which you'll receive:
So, if you're looking for a unique loyal loving addition to your family,
you'll get that with an Oodles of Kisses GREAT DANOODLE! This hybrid cross is truly a
beautiful animal which is great with kids and other animals. Over
the years, with many of my Great Danes becoming Service/Therapy dogs, I
have recognized the need for not only larger, stronger, intelligent
friendly companions but allergy friendly too!
"Why blend in when you were born to stand out!"
70-110 pounds, are 28-32 inches and have a life expectancy of 8-13
years. OoK Great DaNoodles are not only healthy, beautiful and
athletic but they make great Service/Therapy Dogs for individuals
with autism, epilepsy, diabetes, vision and hearing impairments and
while still others might be used
more as medical alert dogs, diabetic alert dogs, PTSD service dogs,
Autism service dogs, and even emotional support dogs.
And lets not forget both were originally bred as working dogs for
either hunting and/or herding.
Average annual medical expenses $485-$600,
average non-medical expenses $500-600, exercise needs are moderate,
trainability is good to very good, they are wonderful for new pet
owners, grooming requirement is once to twice a week, good to very
good with other pets, however, just like the Great Dane, they do not
do well with solitude... they need to be PART OF THE FAMILY. And
when it comes to coat color and texture the DaNoodle can take
after its Poodle or Great Dane parent. The F1s generally have
a longer coat that can be wiry/feathery or smooth, however, it's so
much softer than the standard Dane coat.
The F3 DANOODLE has become highly sought after by those looking for
the durable coat of a Poodle combined with the enormous size of the
Great Dane.... without the profound drooling, shedding (low to no
shedding) or cherry
eye! The ones on this page are all F1s as this is the look I prefer.
Those with a coat more like the poodle will be high maintenance and
that's not what I am wanting myself.
Also, don't let the mangy look of a young DaNoodle (below) fool you,
their coat does come in nicely.
Character Comparison: GREAT DANES are affectionate, calm, loyal,
and intelligent. They do not bark much, but make great watchdogs.
The Great Dane’s ‘gentle giant’ nickname is well earned by its
loving, quiet persona. The STANDARD POODLE is sensitive,
intelligent, lively, playful, proud, and elegant. It bonds closely
with family and makes a great companion. Standard Poodles are very
smart, obedient, and graceful, which makes them one of the most
popular pets in the world. The Standard Poodle is bouncy, alert, and
usually eager to play. Standard Poodles are a bit calmer and less
likely to bark than Miniature Poodle and Toy Poodles.
Temperament Comparison: The STANDARD POODLE gets along well with
other animals, other dogs, and children. It is best to socialize it
as a puppy. Standard Poodles will announce the arrival of visitors,
but are generally friendly toward them. Standard Poodles are highly
adaptable and make good watchdogs. They may find their way into some
mischief! Whereas the Great Dane gets along well with children,
other dogs, and any household pets. Some Great Danes are dominant
with other dogs of the same sex or have a high prey instinct with
small cats. Great Danes should be socialized when young. The Great
Dane is usually wary around strangers, but will welcome friends of
DANOODLES can frequently inherit the poodle’s curly coat, at times,
they are also found in short, wiry coats similar to their Great Dane
parents, however, you should NOT shave down your Great DaNoodle
except maybe a sanitary trim and clean paws.
So what do you actually get when you cross a Great Dane with a
Poodle? They can reach more than 100 pounds and their height is very
similar to that of a full sized Great Dane. This dog’s size might
seem intimidating to some but it’s truly a gentle giant that seems
to love everyone they come into contact with.

So if you are looking for a medium to short haired dog that is
great with kids, why not think about getting a DANOODLE? If you have
enough room for this large but very sweet dog in your home you will
be greatly rewarded by its GREAT companionship and OODLES of KISSES!
Tails will be docked on all my Great DaNoodle puppies for the
following reasons. The only way I will not dock a tail is if
the puppy is picked out before day 3 and at least half the
purchase price has been paid. Should you later wish you
had had the tail docked it can still be done up to/at 15 wks
or even later.
Some have long wavy coats like BUFFY
Some have smooth longer coats like Sissy:
And again I just want to say, if you pick yours out early
don't let it's mangy look scare you, you'll love how it turns out!
