Some people love cross breed dogs because they are not only beautiful, but also have less health issues.  Many times cross breeding brings out the best traits of both breeds.

Jennifer Coates, DVM in Fort Collins, Colorado and veterinary advisor to petMD.com stated, “In my experience, dogs that are still being bred to do a job tend to be the healthiest. When breeders focus on function instead of just good looks, they naturally weed out the dogs that develop debilitating illnesses or injuries.” “Providing dogs with mental stimulation, physical exercise and maintaining them at a healthy weight will go a long ways towards keeping any dog healthy, regardless of its breed,” Coates stated.

With a unique genetic markup and a lower level of inbreeding, mixed breed dogs are generally among the healthiest, Coates said. “A recent study showed that mix breed dogs were significantly less likely to develop ten genetically based diseases, including some types of heart disease, musculoskeletal problems, allergic skin disease and hyperthyroidism,” she added.

And Denise Petryk, DVM and director of veterinary services at Trupanion pet insurance lists Labradoodles among those with relatively few claims for bone-related injuries and conditions related to the coat and skin.

And don't let the scrawny look of a young Great DaNoodle scare you, they do turn out beautifully!

The following chart of photos are of my Great Danes I'm using to show the different "shades" of chocolate I may be getting in my Nov 2018 litter.  The dilute and the chocolate usually turn darker as the puppy matures but lilacs usually stay same or get lighter.  Lilacs will be more.

Gets along well with children, other dogs, and any household pets. Some Great Danes are dominant with other dogs of the same sex or have a high prey instinct with small cats. Usually wary around strangers, but will welcome friends of the family.

Gets along well with other animals, other dogs, and children. They are modest and polite, as well as gentle with everyone they meet. They are great watch dogs and will bark loudly to alert you when necessary. But because they don’t constantly bark, they won’t disturb the neighbors.
